Zirvak does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising software development kits, and no network calls of any kind. The app has no way to identify you, and nothing you do inside Zirvak is ever sent to a server, because Zirvak has no server.
What stays on your device
Everything Zirvak keeps is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad, using Apple's on-device storage frameworks. This includes:
- Batch plans you create or save (guests, kazan size, rice, style, and quantities)
- Your cook log: dates, ratings, notes on what to change next time, and any photo you attach
- Pinned styles and glossary terms
- App settings, such as your theme, default rice per guest, and haptics/sound preferences
None of this leaves your device unless you deliberately share it yourself, for example by using the Share button to send a shopping list or a cook's summary card through Messages, Mail, or another app you choose. That sharing action uses Apple's standard share sheet and is entirely under your control.
Camera
Zirvak asks for camera access only at the moment you tap the Camera option while logging a cook, so you can photograph the finished lagan for your own record. The photo is saved only inside that log entry, on your device. Zirvak never opens the camera on its own and never uploads a photo anywhere.
Photo library
When you choose a photo for a log entry, Zirvak uses Apple's built-in photo picker. This system picker runs outside the app and hands over only the single image you select — Zirvak never receives access to browse or scan your library.
Notifications
Zirvak schedules local notifications on your device for two features you opt into: stage timers while you cook, and an optional reminder to shop the night before. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device. Zirvak does not use push notifications and no notification content is ever sent to a remote server.
Children's privacy
Zirvak is a general-audience kitchen utility and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted on this page along with a revised date. Continuing to use Zirvak after a change means you accept the revised policy.
